Drake - 5AM In Toronto (Video)

When was the last time you saw a low-budget Drake video? For many of us, 5AM In Toronto will be the first one.

As many of you know, Drake was a little upset while the “MTV’s Hottest MC List” talks were going down. After being placed fifth on the list, and hearing all the critics talk their shit, Drake had a little something to say: 

A lot of niggas PR stuntin’ like that’s the movement
And I’m the only nigga still known for the music
I swear, fuck them niggas this year
I made Forbes list, nigga
Fuck your list, everything’s lookin’ gorgeous

Every one has their mixed opinions on Drake. Some love him, even when he sings. Some think he’s the softest nugget in the game. I won’t turn this into a defense post towards Drake, but after hearing all the criticism for years, I felt he needed a track like 5AM In Toronto - a song where he just goes in, with no hook. A song where he spills the truths out the way he sees them, yet again.

Exclusive Footage: Pilot Nation’s ‘Expensive Heat’ Listening Party

As many of you know, 2012 was a strong year for The Collab Projekt, The Fresh Heir and the local Boston hip-hop scene. After meeting Tim Larew and Blair Lineham, the three of us decided to jump into a scene that we were outsiders in, with one goal: UNITY. 

Since starting the #12for12 Boston movement, Tim, Blair and I have been blessed to meet some incredible recording artists and connect with them in ways that go deeper than just fan + artist relationships. Tim Larew, my best friend, has actually moved on to manage an up-and-coming group comprised of Jeff Replay, Stizzy, and Nick Gray. Individually, they carry their own names and their own styles; but together, they stand for Pilot Nation. 

Pride In Life Over Tangible Shit

Replay, Stizzy and Nick are getting ready to release their debut compilation tomorrow, after months of planning, collaborating, recording and developing as artists. Last week, The Collab Projekt was invited to a listening party for the compilation, and I am very proud to present our exclusive look at Pilot Nation’s ‘Expensive Heat’.
