Two years ago I started a music blog. You’re on it right now. This is a good thing. At first I was all about sitting on a Google Reader feed and waiting for the next biggest piece of news to drop, so I could try and be “the trusted and quickest source in music.”
Luckily, I’m an accelerated learner and I realized how washed up that strategy was. It also helps that I discovered the beauty of the independent artist when I received my first ever legitimate press release from a Publicist by the name of Shema Jones.
During the weekend of October 5th-8th, The Collab Projekt has partnered up with Rhoaming Music Group to present The Good Vibes Weekend, a two-city tour that will showcase music from Dutch ReBelle, Divine ScienZe, Charmingly Ghetto and Radio, but we’ll have more information on that Monday…
This is our first official tour and our team is more than ecstatic that what began as a vision - sharing music from talented and underground artists who deserve a brighter light shined on them - is now becoming a reality and taking us outside of our city to share good vibes with others.
Above, you are looking at a 12-track compilation that I 100% guarantee you will rock with. This is a hip-hop mixtape featuring four very talented acts you might not have yet heard of, and I hope after listening, you find one… or four new artists to follow and listen to.
My whole purpose behind this blog is to share music from artists you know and love, but more importantly, to showcase talented underground artists who are working hard to continue developing their crafts and pushing themselves to the next level.
