King I Divine: A talented producer hailing from Queens, NY
In it’s simplest element, hip-hop is half the emcee, and half the producer. Many a times, people forget to focus on the producer, the man (or woman) who is lacing the beats behind the lyrics and creating an auditory vibe that captures it all. A good hip-hop song sounds cohesive (the beat and the vocals), and even though that’s partly due to the emcee perfecting his flow to match the beat… The emcee wouldn’t have a beat if it wasn’t for the producer.
This weekend, The Collab Projekt will be linking with a very talented producer that goes by the name of King I Divine. He’ll be flying from Atlanta to Boston for The Good Vibes Weekend and joining a group of creatives to, well… Create.
King I Divine has been busy this past week, but even with all the traveling (Divine ScienZe is currently on the Enjoy Tonight tour and they just rocked California for a couple days), he blessed us with two releases this week. The first release, a song titled Fly is a collaboration between King I Divine and LD Henriquez (poet/songwriter). The second, a freestyle titled The Future by Torae with production by King I.
Plug in your good headphones, or turn up those speakers, and just vibe to these two tracks, as well as the video of King I creating a beat for Divine ScienZe.

Point of this post: Tip your hat to the producers.
